We just arrived in Durban after a 7 1/2 hour bus ride. I think the bus rides between Boston and NYC had prepared me. We had a great past couple of days in Johannesburg. We stayed in Melville at a cute B+B, some photos are below. There were some nice restaurants near by and a few small bars. The bar that we had a some drinks at after dinner was fantastic. A small place with great people and great music and the staff was so nice. The owner gave us a shot to welcome us to Johannesburg and can you guess what shot it was? Chocolate cake! Those that know me know thats my favorite shot. Thought that was a nice coincidence.
Trying to figure out the plans for the next few days. I think we may head up to Drakensburg either tomorrow or Thursday. And then we fly out of Durban on Saturday for Cape Town. It looks like I may be learning to drive on the other side of the road as we have been told it is best to rent a car for that area. Will definitely let you know how that goes.
