This morning it was raining - needless to say my shoes and my pants are now covered in mud. Very few streets are actually paved around here so it was pretty much like walking around in a big mud pile on our way to class.
So the exciting news is tomorrow we are meeting with the teachers from our school, one of the leaders from Arts in Tanzania (the organization that I am volunteering with) and the builder. Looks like we will be building a classroom! I'm hoping tomorrow I can take some pictures of there current classroom. Just not quite ready to take my camera out around the children as I know they will go crazy about it ;). Some people have commented and I have received emails from people interested in helping out financially on this - Thank you! Let me find out what is going to cost and where we are at - many of the volunteers raised money before they left and wanted to contribute to our project as well. I will keep you updated. It will be an exciting project while I am here!
Well, I am off to my second day with the women's group!
